Installing .NET Framework for PowerExcel
.Net Framework 3.5 is required in order to successfully install PowerExcelOn this page, you will find instructions on how to:
Verify that you have .NET Framework 3.5
To verify that you have .NET Framework 3.5 follow the following steps:
- Open the Windows Features dialog box.
There are two ways to open the Windows Features dialog box:- Press the Windows key on your keyboard, type “Windows Features”, and press Enter.
The Windows Features dialog box will open. - Alternatively, you can open the Windows Features dialog box through the Control Panel.
- Press the Windows key on your keyboard, type “Control Panel”, and press Enter.
The Control Panel dialog box will open. - Click on “Programs”
- In Programs, Click on “Turn Windows features on or off”
- The Windows Features dialog box will open.
- Press the Windows key on your keyboard, type “Control Panel”, and press Enter.
- Press the Windows key on your keyboard, type “Windows Features”, and press Enter.
- In the Windows Features dialog box, check to see if the .NET Framework 3.5 (includes .NET 2.0 and 3.0) option is visible.
- Click on the box next to it so that it becomes shaded.
- Click OK.
- Reboot your computer, if prompted to do so.
- Continue with the installation of PowerExcel on the previous page.
If the .NET Framework 3.5 (includes .NET 2.0 and 3.0) option is not visible in the Windows Features dialog box, proceed to next step: Installing .NET Framework 3.5 manually.
Installing .NET Framework 3.5 manually
- Download the .NET Framework 3.5 installer HERE or from the Microsoft website
- Go to your Downloads folder and double click on the dotnetfx35.exe file to install
- Follow the onscreen instructions
- Then continue with the installation of PowerExcel on the previous page
